  • @sanbeiji Aw man. That’s about as sneaky as it gets. What a PITA, especially for our next book, eh? I like Håkon’s suggested image, though. #
  • @sanbeiji Haha. =) And with the magic of UTF-8 character encoding, all of Earth’s cultures lived happily ever after, peacefully coexisting. #
  • Utterly FANTASTIC presentation by Jeff Hawkins on neurology and artificial intelligence, VERY highly recommended: http://tinyurl.com/4a28ae #
  • @avahdi Some good OS X guides: http://www.apple.com/pro/tips/secretcapture.html & http://tinyurl.com/r5ddg #
  • @seraglioletters I think it is crazy that the question is whether or not Palin is a good person instead of whether she would be a good VP. #
  • Once again, I fail to even remotely get to sleep at a reasonable hour. Then again, there is rarely anything reasonable about me at all, so…. #

  • @ProblmLikeMaria Does it have something to do with how they hit on you? I’m so uncomfy w/getting hit on I don’t even notice when it happens. #
  • @BondageFreaky I see you’re looking for speech to text programs and have already found iListen. That’s the program I would recommend to use. #
  • Got excited at spam in my inbox that read “Mistress wants something big?”, but then disappointed when I realized it meant mistress=affair. #
  • Tradeoffs: @BloodyLaughter and I fail at leaving the house, but succeed at having awesome morning makeout sessions and afternoon orgasms! #
  • Okay, things that have suddenly become very urgent requirements: Breakfast, coffee, sunshine, and eventually getting work-like things done. #
  • I feel good about responding to friend’s private emails asking about kink/sex-related questions, bad that it sometimes takes too long. #
  • In ’05 I created an Amazon guide titled “Become a Front-End Web Design Guru.” Today I added my own book to it! http://tinyurl.com/mywebguide #
  • Getting ready to head out to a party, but I’m hungry and don’t know how social I feel. This could either be really good, or really bad. #
  • On the 14th floor of a building being renovated. Loud music blasting, tons of teens drinking. Having flashbacks to things I never did. #
  • Heading home alone after leaving @BloodyLaughter at the party. I saw that coming a mile away; I was never that young, even when I was. #
  • @factorypreset Funny, I just ditched one of those warehouse party things. Decided to go to the office to get a terminal to do work instead. #
  • @ellie_lumpesse Two hot bi boys & a king size bed? That’ll surely give me sweet dreams! I’ve been looking at http://boundgods.com/ too much. #

  • @jakevance I’m a web guy, too. What ever happened to web engineering? http://tinyurl.com/54tz5h #
  • Finally figured out how to dump huge amounts of debugging info out of Plone’s ZPT source code files & suddenly progress lurches forward! :D #
  • At tonight’s SLUG meeting, wondering if I’m going to regret this in a few minutes. Oy, user groups are so…unorganized. #
  • What not to do when giving a presentation: use your slides as a replacement for your notecards. Everyone reads faster than you talk. #
  • Okay, this presentation just went from horrible to hilarious because it’s that bad. I feel like I’m watching a train wreck. Kinda fun. #
  • Thankfully, 2nd preso on Web App Database Scalibility is going very well. Good tips: different read & write DBs and for distinct data. #
  • Just had a fantastically interesting discussion with with Robert Collins of Canonical, Inc re git v. bzr, tech versus usability, more. #
  • @supertailz It starts going down, or she starts going down? Srsly, American politics has become a 5-yr old’s playgroung battle with cooties. #

  • I definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I’m pissed off that our team can’t even get consistent indentation right. #
  • Needed to cool off, so I took a relatively early lunch. Almost ready to go back to work but do not want to make it a long day today. #
  • Heard a great quote: “Great security is about discipline.” Same applies to development. Drowning myself in loud trance music so I can focus. #
  • Had a smack-down on the Plone Users list…that’s what’s so great & so mind-numbingly maddening abt open communities http://tinyurl.com/65fpah #
  • What an utterly craptastic day. The very last thing I want to do right now is be at my computer. How novel. #
  • Fell asleep when I came home today and slept til 3 AM. Then woke up & have been catching up on work ever since. Tomorrow’ll be…interesting…. #
  • @jakevance And yet Coda still doesn’t support git. Sorry, I think I’ll stick with Vim. It does all the syntax highlighting I need and more. #

  • My tongue has a pimple! My TONGUE! It hurts a lot and makes me sad, but also gives me an excuse for playing with my tongue a lot today. #
  • Sent out first draft of @sanbeiji & mine’s next book proposal to publisher. Crossing my fingers & hoping he likes playful comments in it. :) #
  • @essinem Somehow I doubt that very much. Then again you do spend a lot time writing about that topic…. But that means it could go both ways. #
  • @STUB Aw crap, I meant to come by but ended up working ’til 8:00 PM. At least I made serious headway figuring out the Plone UI layers. Phew! #
  • Listening to Whitfield Diffie talk about cyberwarfare & Internet security on The Cryptographer’s Panel. AWESOME!! http://snipurl.com/rsa2008 #
  • This is my favorite approach to my sex life: http://xkcd.com/468/ In fact, it’s kinda how I approach my whole life. It’s more fun that way. #
  • I love it when my favorite blogs all start linking each other such as @BloodyLaughter and @CatalinaLoves, or @Lifehacker and @PenelopeTrunk. #
  • Yay! Publisher liked our book proposal! Yikes! Publisher liked our book proposal! I think I’ve just created loads of new work for myself. #

  • I put on a “nice” shirt but realized as I was buttoning it that I don’t have any equally-nice plans today so I changed back to casual attire #
  • Somewhat amused, somewhat annoyed, by seeing all the “…is typing” notifications with no resulting message in my online conversations today. #
  • Just spent way too long figuring out a weird VMware clone issue that disabled eth0. I should have just Googled it: http://tinyurl.com/625d6e #
  • Found a pirate d/l link for http://tinyurl.com/mywebbook That didn’t take long. Somehow, I feel I’m not as upset about this as I should be. #
  • @BloodyLaughter Are you kidding? Intellectual wankery is, like, the defining characteristic of humanity! Where would we be without it? #
  • Wondering why so many similar concepts have so many names…case in point: macros vs. snippets vs. blocks. Srsly, can’t we all just get along? #
  • Loving the whole METAL templating paradigm thanks to its standard use of XML namespaces and its natural ability to provide default content. #
  • It’s astonishing how much you’ll get ripped off if you’re not pro-actively watching what’s going on around you. I’m talking hundreds of $$…. #
  • Dealing w/the ZMI is like dealing w/the Windoze Registry…I guess this is cuz they’re both REALLY old & just happen to have made it to today. #
  • Cleaning up & adding content to Wikipedia regarding Zope (and Plone), ZPT, TAL, the ZMI http://tinyurl.com/5cgalc though I should be asleep. #

  • Debating the merits of software solutions versus process solutions to workflow issues with core Trac developers. They are smart, and gruff. #
  • Reviewing fundamentals of Zope Page Templates & the Template Attribute Language to ensure I have a firm grasp of the basics of Plone theming #
  • Do you think 12:04 AM is too late for the previous day’s breakfast? Probably, but at least it’s really good! Mmm, homemade chilli pasta! #
  • Watching The Princess Bride and having flashbacks to childhood. I loved this movie for the torture and bondage and kidnapping. So hot…. #

  • @seraglioletters Feeling massively dominant or just not submissive? Sometimes that distinction is hard to notice, but it’s important to. #
  • Last night @BloodyLaughter got “spontaneous” with her new electric razor and today I am waking up to lots of itchiness in sensitive places. #
  • @mistressmatisse and @twistedmonk’s tweeting at one another is delightfully amusing. Makes me wish I took Alex up on her offer to visit. #
  • Turns out the TracQuery mini-language is ANSI SQL-based so hacking at it is non-trivial for what I want http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/7558 #
  • Just finished reading O’Reilly’s Classic Shell Scripting tonight. By far one of the most useful things I have ever read my whole life! #
  • @BloodyLaughter You probably meant rgb(138, 192, 205) if what you’re after is a numeric RGB specification, ala functional notation. Love. :) #
  • @seraglioletters Oh. Hm. Tieing him up and doing mwahaha things…. Yes, that’s dominant. Excuse me, I have to go, uh, powder my nose. :) #
  • For fuck’s sake, I don’t think I’m even remotely capable of getting into bed before 3 AM anymore. My coworkers are going to hate me tomorrow #

  • Chillin’ in bed with @BloodyLaughter after a wonderfully long 10+ hour night’s rest. Will have to do something about the hole in my stomach. #
  • @BloodyLaughter: “What do you think of this outfit?” Me (shrugging): “Sure. I mean I’m almost always blindfolded in my fantasies anyway.” #

  • @viviane212 This is the second Arse Elektronica that I’m missing?! Damn being not where I want to be. That said, have fun, of course! #

  • I’m very much regretting staying up ’til three last night right now. Also, the gloomy day helps not one bit. I’m never making it in on time. #
  • Merging git submodule repos that were needlessly isolated into our git super-project. Excellent instructions here: http://tinyurl.com/6acm7t #
  • Wow. It’s 6:20 PM and I just realized that I’ve not opened my email client all day. Not surprisingly, I’ve had a very productive day today. #
  • @ProblmLikeMaria Oh. My. God. You now have freckles? Just when I’m almost convinced you can not possibly get any cuter…. #
