Oh my god. Sim City 4 is addictive. I’ve been sick for the past few days. Ucky phlegm and aches and pains. Danica got sick too. We’ve sort of been taking care of each other though it’s been a little rough. Meanwhile, gaming has proven fun. I’ll write more when I’m feeling better.
This interesting article by Christopher Simmons is worth a read if you’ve got a spare moment or two. I caught it from the RSS feed from Lockergnome Web Developer this morning. Christopher Simmons raises some good points that I have yet to fully digest. As I begin my own entry to the Wonderful World of […]
I bought three new compies of Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman today. I’ve been re-reading a copy of the book my father loaned me, as you may recall from an earlier entry, but wanted to get my own copy given the opportunity to buy the book. Danica picked it up on our way out for […]
Today I rediscovered tranquility. A peaceful game that lets you float in a stress-free timeless starfield, leisurely looking for spinners to bounce on. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience….
Not much to say right now. It’s rainy outside and I don’t feel 100%. In any case, it was somewhat challenging to stay as active as I’d like. Now that Danica is home, I wanted to spend some time with her, but she hadn’t felt quite up to going out often. It came to a […]
Yesterday I gave my father a "CSS Crash Course" in the form of a tutoring lesson with demonstrations about what is what. He had the brilliant idea that I should do that for money too. In other words, offer to tutor designers in the language of CSS. It’s hard for those folks to understand mostly […]
As has occasionally been the case, Danica has recently been unsettled by her own opinions of her body image. I came up with this haiku on beauty the day after she encouraged me to write more poetry. While possibly not of the highest caliber, I do happen to like it and I think it is […]
Um, yikes. Lots’a work to do. And it’s fuuun. :) On a related note, I am quickly gaining very important experience. I was confronted with a very old web site, BasilRouskas.com and begun trying to convert it to an XHTML/CSS mix. Educationally, I determined it would be no better that way, because the design of […]
Yesterday, Danica called me late at night. During our conversation I mentioned that I had begun writing periodically again. Though I meant to say "prose," I had a bit of a Freudian slip and it came out as "poetry." I suppose she was intrigued because, though I did clarify what I had intended, she told […]
It has occured to me that I need to wash my hair. Actually, it had—past tense—occured to me several days ago, though I have not yet actually done anything about it. This is because I do not have any shampoo in my apartment, and though it stands to reason that I should probably go buy […]
